Our Approach
All Inset Provision and Training encompasses:
- Ideas and strategies for addressing the language of everyday feelings, with particular consideration for supporting children through emotionally difficult times
- A multi-arts approach to Emotional Education, so each course includes an option of working with the arts in one form or another
This may include:
- Art materials and clay
- Puppetry and mask
- Drama, storytelling and metaphor
- Literature, poetry and prose
- Music and song
- Movement and dance
- Jungian sandplay
- Fun and games
- An integrative theoretical basis - bringing together some of the very best in child development, mental health and therapeutic thinking
I am most grateful to the many colleagues, students, school staff, children, young people and parents who have so generously shared and trusted my integrity, as we have joined together to fathom the sometimes bewildering but always engaging world of feeling.
I have been able to furnish my ‘tool kit’ with all manner of tricks from the trade. I would like to share with you the expertise of these influential and inspirational people whom I have been lucky enough to learn from and work with.
Come on a course, or commission our services for your team or client base. By the end of the session, you will have at least one new idea or intervention you can implement immediately - guaranteed!
We encourage course participants to take time, dabble, and dip your toe in when and where you can.
Tweak activities and suggestions to suit your children or young people and the cultural setting. Adapt, embroider and elaborate to make it your own...and then pass it on!
Good practice is to be shared......
