Meet the Team at Anna-Michele Hantler
Meet some of our team who accompany Anna-Michele to Schools for Small Group Work, Quality Circle Time and on Training Days to demonstrate metaphor in motion. They also endear the children to the subject more readily than Anna-Michele's own personality would, and have been known to get away with a lot more than she can!
Meet Kanga
Kanga has adapted to life in England quite well.
"Yeah g’day!
Where she goes, I go!
I’m from Australia and I’d just love to take a hop, skip and a jump into your school and come meet everybody. Trouble is, just ‘cos I’m a bouncy creature, everyone thinks I’m not shy. I get real nervous children will laugh at me 'cos I’m different from Kangaroos in England. It’s the accent you see - and the ears. Some animal had the cheek to call me a dog! I’m just a bit different. Do you think your children could help me learn to make new friends and be part of the posse?"
Meet Brown Bear
"Huhhmmm. You talking to me?
Brown Bear is my name, not that ghastly one everyone else calls me. Makes me feel like rubbish. I keep getting stuck in this bin thing. Every time someone calls me that name, it makes my fur stand on end and I just sink further and further in. I used to have lovely shiny brown fur... but being at the bottom of this heap has made my fur go all hard and prickly. Miss Hantler seems to think your class might be able to soften it up a bit. Do you think you could kindly give me a few ideas?"
Meet Dog Dog and Puss Puss
(Otherwise known as Ruff and Tumble...) Meowww, Ruff Ruff !
Puss Puss: "I want to come down Dog Dog, you’re always chasing me"
Dog Dog: "I just want to play, honest. Please please, I won’t scare you again..."
Dog Dog thinks to himself: "Oh dear, I’ve done it again. Every time I try to be friends with her I frighten her off. I’m just so rough sometimes. What can I do differently?"
These two (from Jenny Mosley’s Circle Time Kit) are always falling out. Can you help them get along better? All ideas and handy hints for happier times welcome!
Meet Galah
"Hi, I’m Galah, and some of the other birds call me greedy Galah. I don’t mean to be, it's just that I always feel so hungry, and no matter how much I drink or eat , it never seems to be enough. I’m just soooo hungry, always looking for something more or better to eat. Any ideas on how to get that full up feeling?
The other birds tell me too I have beautiful coloured feathers, but I dont know, I’m not sure I should believe them. My feathers aren't as pink as my brother's, or nearly fluffy enough. I guess they could be good enough, what do you think? How would I know?"
New team members joining us soon! (there are some who will never be upstaged though... we’re a loyal bunch at AMH)
